Ready to dive into a fabulous kit? Go check it out @Scrap-Club!
Here's what i made with it and be sure to check out what the other girls made with it!
This one is inspired by a fun sketch made by Liesbeth:
Xmas Day in Australia 1998 :)
I also used the kit to make a layout inspired by the Marsha's cool sketch @ Dutch Dares:
Thanks for popping in and have a great weekend!
It was a happy surprise for me that Adriana asked me to work with the August Kit too!
So here's the sneaks before this ROCKIN' Scrap-Club kit releases tommorrow!!! It is JAMPACKED with SO MUCH GORGEOUS stuff that makes you want to dive in straight away!!
Hello Summer! Thank you for blue skies and a fresh breeze today!
I am so going to enjoy this summer and take it easy, work less, read and create more! Was i trying to find time to read my favo magazine Flow, now i've also got a crush on a brand new magazine! Well, no. 2 is out now... all you vintage stuff lovin' girls... grab yourself a Jansen!! I admit, i had to buy it, because my sweet and talented sister-in-kinda-law did the photography of a beautiful picknick article in it. BUT. I fell in love with the whole mag!
On to other lovely stuff... the Julykit at Scrap-Club, completely PACKED with gorgeous papers and TONS of perfect embellishments!!! My fave are the rubber charms! Here's the layouts i made with it and one mini-albumcover in which i will capture the yet-to-take-summerpics. The tabpages i made with cardstock from my own stash, the tabs are part of the kit. Go check outa da kit!
Here's this months SC sketch layout, it was my turn to create a sketch. It's about a sweet little redhead, our friends daughter:
For this one i used an old photo of my brother and me:
When our friend Tom turned 40, his sweet girlfriend secretly organised a surpriseparty in a pub. When he arrived he had to swap his "i'm not dead yet" tshirt for a white tshirt saying "Tom -the musical-" The whole evening was filled with amazing musical and theatrical acts all created especially for AND about him. We were all dressed up in a costume of different musicals too. It was a brilliant show, because all of them are great artists, like the birthdayboy himself, who often plays in musicals... Have to ask the name of the photographer who made these pictures!
And one for the holidayalbum. Love the Studio Calico rubons and oh you have to go and check out how Monique used the on her layout, sheer brilliance i say...
And here's the cover for the mini and the tabpages:
Thanks for paying me a visit, what are your summerplans?!
Hey hello, it's Summertime Sweets! Yesterday the new hot 'n sunny Scrap-Club kit was released and here's some sneaks!
Go check out the gallery to see what the dt-girls made...
Wishing you LOTS of SUNSHINE!
This kit has it all... again! Truly gorgeous papers, two kinds of letterstickers, and oh my... the embellishments... with the chipboard items, Neighbourhood! Go check it outa!
Here's my layouts and be sure to check out what the other dt-members made with this marvelous kit!
And while your surfin' go check out the supafun sketch Johanne made at the Dutch Dare blog!
Happy Easter everbody!
Tommorrow the new kit will be released @ Scrap-Club! And it is an embellishmentparty! The papers are SOOO much fun, after opening the kit, the ideas started flowing straight away. I {heart} color coördinated kits and this one will make your heart jump too!
@ Scrap-Club, go get it whilst ya still can! There's lots of Studio Calico stuff in there combined with lots, i say LOTS of GREAT supplies!! Here's what i made with it:
Have a sunny day!
We went skiing in Austria. I love snow!
There is nothing like standing on top of a mountain.
Trying to decide whether you will take a blue slope, or a red one, or dare to go down the black hill.
Braving the cold, one really needs a hat! (Self mixed 'n matched improvised apple hat-pattern)
Meeting new friends along the way (Koala pattern by Tami Snow, Angry Bird pattern by Kim Tairi)
And somehow i always bring home more bags than i left with ;) (Zpagetti Pattern by Hoooked)
And now i am so ready for SPRING! Got to play with the AMAZING April Kit by Scrap-Club, go check it out on the 19th! Here's some sneaks
And if you are looking for some early spring inspiration, go check out the supafun sketch Marsha made for the Dutch Dare blog!
Weekend! Enjoy!
Some projects are finished in an hour and ehm then eaten within 5 minutes. Keep calm, we didn't eat all twelve Irish Cream Coffee cupcakes i made in total. I don't want to brag, but they were EXTREMELY DELICIOUS!! So to protect ourselves from eating way too many, we shared them with neighbours and colleagues. The other thing i've been doing in my spare time is working on a mini (sharing the main tab pages here, cos the actual mini-album is taking it's time) and dreaming of all things possible ;)
and a healthy one too!
We made a perfect leap into the New Year with our dearest friends, a heartwarming evening, fun night and early morning :) for some haha. Like last year we hung out all day the next day together too, so it was a cosy crowded house and we had a great day!
Following Ali Edwards tradition the Dutch Dare team has a One Little Word challenge for 2011.
My word for 2011 is TOGETHER. It feels right on many different levels. I altered a little wooden heart, check out what the other girls created and say hi to the new designers on the fresh Dutch Dare blog!
What is your word for 2011? Play along with the dare!
Love, Mandy
And our house will be filled with sweet friends, happy kids, games and laughter. Homemade cupcakes are waiting. And so are a few little pressies, with poems we wrote for our friends to read and open after dinner (when the kids are off to sleep LOL).
Thank you 2010, for everything
Thank you blogreaders, for taking the time to drop by my blog. I wish 2011 will bring you happiness, laughter and good health for you and your loved ones.
Peace,
Mandy
These are the two other layouts created with Scrap-Clubs fantabulous January Kit... On one the journaling is about how we want to celebrate life with friends even more in 2011. And with our family! Inspired by Ali Edwards i'm thinking about my word for 2011. I think i know which one it'll be, but sometimes i change my mind the last few days of the year, as the real word suddenly hits me LOL. So i'll wait with sharing haha.
Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas!
Love, Mandy
that i tried my hand at a new banner? And did you notice the January kit has released at Scrap-Club? And i mean it when i say hurry, because the December kit sold out in no time. And this one is an absolute stunner as well. Caused by flu and maildelays i can upload two layouts i made and there's more to come this next week. Check the gallery to see how versatile this kit is!!
The first layout was inspired by Monique's great sketch at the Scrap-Club blog, join the challenge!
Cya later this week! Enjoy these cosy days!
I cannot believe you are already here. But now you are here so suddenly: i love the bit of snow you gave us. Just enough to make little kids jump for joy when they get up in the morning. Just enough for a brief sleigh ride to school. I love your traditions, your lights, your cosiness, your promise of quality time with family and friends. So here's to you. Many thanks in advance for all precious moments you will bring. I made a December Daily to capture them. So bring it on :)
Covered the mini metal birdhouse with frosted stickles glue. Few papers from Flow Magazine and the cute snowflake rubons on the transparent cover are in awesome and very sold out december kit at Scrap-Club.
Keep an eye out for the new Dutch Dare, speaking of, Dutch Dares are now on Facebook and Hyves, you'll find the link on the left of the Dutch Dare blog :)
Thanks so much for your visit!
Luv, Mandy
I love the traditions that are just around the corner! St. Nicholas (the Dutch Santa) has arrived in the Netherlands, so the fun has started (and also the nights where my kid wakes up every half an hour cos he wonders if the ol' guy, his horse and all of his helpers have entered the house yet to fill his shoe :) I do hope that St. Nicholas will put some good-quality naptime worth at least 8 hours in mine. Cuz i need to get over this flu i have. Asap. Like NOW. As mentoined in the previous post i was very happy i finished all the stuff for Scrap-Club BEFORE flu entered da house! As Adriana asked me a few weeks ago to fill in for Petra this month. And this December Kit is 'the most wonderful kit of the year'! So many beautiful Xmas and winterthemed papers, with coördinatong cardstock, fabulous flake-rubons (bling included!), supafun chipboard elements, ribbons, a GREAT chipboard minibook, THICKERS, YAY! Need i go on? Grab yourself a kit! And check out what the other girls have made!
Here's what i made:
This was made inspired by the fun sketch at SC this month:
I want to do a big update soon, as it might not seem so: but i have been creative these past months LOL. Just no time to take photo's and blog about it.
Thanks for your visit!
For a Delicious Scrap-Club December Kit! It releases tommorrow at Scrap-Club and here's some sneaks of the jawdropping kit! I am very thankful i finished this before flu got me down. Still tackling this flu-thing, at the end of the day i kinda sound like Tom Waits LOL. Thanks for (still) visiting even though i update way to slow... Want to check out the current Dutch Dare? Play along!
Luv, Mandy
Check it outa! The November Kit is packed with supacolorful papers, embellishments, letterstickers, chipboard items, it is one big perfect coörindated colorful box of GOODNESS!! Grab it while ya can, there is even stamps in there!
I got to play with the gorgeous kit and made these layouts and a little mini-album. If you wanna see what else you can make with this must-have kit, check out the gallery at Scrap-Club to see what the other girlies made!
And this one is inspired by a superfun sketch by Petra:
And a little mini, only added some cardboard for the covers:
I am a little late with posting all this, been feeling a bit under the weather the past week, but slowly on a comeback now :)
Oh and also last week a new Dutch Dare sketch was posted online, check out what the DD-ladies made!
Gotta Go! Thanks for dropping by!
In between the everyday goodness there is MORE goodness! Yes! Another Scrap-Club kit release! The November Kit will be revealed tommorrow... Here's my sneaks :)
from your youth, that is the current Dutch Dare that went online the past week. I came across these two pics my mom made when my best friend (in those days) and me went to a Madonna concert dressed in the Who's that girl-outfit back in 1987. I think we were actually thinking we were very cool LOL.
Needless to say we had the time of our lives :) Check outa what the other girls made and play along!
Oh, and pssst, the new Scrapclub October-kit was released, go and check it out, be quick if you want to get your hands on it! The girls made wonderful creations and the kit looks so so yummy, they were so lucky to work with it!
then a girl needs a hug. But since Monique does not exactly live around the corner, that was not easy to arrange. So i thought it would be great fun to order a flagline with transparant pockets and ask her favo scrapmaties i know (and those who left comments on Monique's blog recently) to scrap her a wellwish on a flag. It was heartwarming to get all the response. All these girls are so so busy and they got a very close deadline... So maybe you heard spinning sewingmachines in the middle of the night, or you saw woman running for the tnt-mailboxes to send them off in time? My mailbox was filled with truly amazing ART people. I SO want to thank these girls for their help!!! Marsha, Haggith, Astrid, Mariska, Petra, Liesbeth, Birgit, Kirs and Revlie THANK YOU for your beautiful creations on such short notice!!! And also Daniëlle and Ingrid who are sending their flags straight to Monique this week!! But also a thank you to the other girls for their response to my email. Before sending it off i quickly made some sneakpeek shots of the flags i received... check it outa...
This fantabulous kit has fun and travel written all over it! A perfect reason to not wait with scrapping your summer pictures, or, like i did, scrap summerpictures from 2 years ago :) Those photo's were waiting for great papers to come along! But it can be used for more theme's like my weddingphoto from...yikes...6 years ago! The weddinglayout is inspired by a fun sketch from Monique! The kit is again very well coördinated and that saves precious T.I.M.E... I made four layouts and a summerhanger and still have supplies left LOL. So i'll have to find some time to scrap more travelpics! Wait till you see what the other girls did with the kit!
So go get your hands on this kit, while ya still can :)
Wanna get inspired by another fun sketch? Check what the Dutch Dare girls did with this one from Margriet!
Thanks for stopping by!
THE NEW HOT SEPTEMBER KIT AT SCRAP-CLUB!
When this kit arrived I was sitting in the sun in front of our house. The mailman suddenly stood in front of me and handed me the pizzabox. I vaguely remember thanking him and wishing him a nice day ;-) After that things went fast and the next thing i knew i was in my scrapstudio, gasping at all these cool items in the kit and scrapping till dawn (thanks to my wonderful husband who understands some things just cannot wait LOL). The kit is PURE AWESOMENESS, so get your hands on it when it releases tommorrow!!
Here's some sneak peeks of what i made with it:
See you later!
It’s been six weeks since my last post. Have i been that busy i wonder? I guess. But it feels like these days are sweet and slow and very relaxing. Love the long light outside. Love not having to rush in the mornings to get my little man into school. Love a pyamaday with him, watching Fineas & Furb and guessing which what-ever-mi-nator Prof. Taubenschmidt has invented this time. Love nurturing this sweet, easygoing, happy little babyboy. Love spending the time with family and friends. Totally love seeing my little mans smile in the morning when he greets his little babybrother. Love the giggles that come from the crib that same instant. So much love between those two. Between us four.
Made a layout for the sketchchallenge we had on the DD blog 2 weeks ago, wit a fun sketch from Ellemieke. I used the cute BG Oliver papers that Evelien from the Hobbyfarm sent me, for the value of the sketchchallenge prize i won on the Hobbyfarm blog. So sweet of her to send it over to me! It was such a nice surprise that the monkey on the paper matched the monkeys on his t-shirt!
For the Dutch Dare that is now online, “I love Holland” i made a quick chipboard mini-album. The colors of the flag on the front are fabric, ribbon and felt. In it are the many photo’s i took this year of all the fun we had around the World Championship. Check here to see what the other girls made!
are what i did when i received a sweet email! Adriana from Scrap-Club asked me to join the Scrap-Club DT!Woohoo!! I am a lucky girl, as i already LOVE the girls and their work that are part of the DT, what an honor! Thanks Adriana for asking me and also for the wonderful kit that arrived! I had already seen sneaks of the new ColorConspiracy line and fell in love. Can you imagine my surprise when i saw that those papers were in the awesome kit combined with wonderful supplies like Jillibean Soup, Sassafras and Jenni Bowlin! It got my scrapmojo back into gear, here's what i made with it:
Check here what the other girls made!
A few days ago the new sketch went online on the Dutch Dare blog, go check it out to get inspired and to see what the Dutch dare team did with it!
Piles of unanswered emails in my inbox, a growing list of unanswered phonecalls, a gigantinormous to-do-list. Being a bad blogger and lousy scrapper.
HOWEVER: Being a darn good mommy ;)
When i was in the final weeks of my pregnancy i had zero mojo to scrap, untill i came across a fun sketch on the Hobby Farm blog. I had 3 little pics sitting on my desk, waiting to some day be scrapped. I made an Easter-layout with them and to my great surprise my layout was chosen! So i had the honor of being a guestdesigner for wholesaler Hobby Farm in May. I scrapped my spring layout one day before the arrival of our wonderful new little happy man :)
Nearly fully recovered (wheelchair and walking crutches have left the house YAY!!!) i can't wait to start scrapping again, especially now, cuz our Dutch Dare team has been expanded with 5 new supertalented scrappers!
Thanks for dropping by sweets!
